How airport pick-up works

1. Book your car online or on WhatsApp with your flight number, arrival time and return time.
2. Land and clear passport control. Our agent tracks your flight, so a delay does not cancel your booking.
3. Meet the agent at the arrivals exit, holding a Getaround Rent Car sign with your name.
4. Check the car together, sign the contract and drive away. The whole handover takes about 15 minutes.
5. Return the car at the airport at the time you choose, including early mornings and late nights, or in town if you prefer.

What is included and what to bring

• Included: comprehensive insurance, breakdown assistance, second driver, baby or booster seat on request, airport delivery and collection at any hour.
• Documents: a valid driving licence (EU, UK, US, Canadian and most other licences are accepted, no international permit needed), your passport or ID card, and a payment card or cash for the rental and the refundable deposit of €800.

• Fuel: the car is handed over with fuel and returned at the same level. There are petrol stations on the airport road and on Avenue Mohammed VI.

Leaving the airport by car

Marrakech Menara Airport is about 6 km south-west of the Medina, a 15 to 20 minute drive outside rush hour. From the terminal, the airport road leads to Avenue Mohammed VI for Hivernage, Gueliz and the Medina gates, and to the ring road for Essaouira, Agadir, the Ourika valley and the Atlas passes. Signposting is in French and Arabic. Speed checks are frequent on the airport road, where the limit is 60 km/h.

Airport rental or delivery in town?

If you spend your first nights inside the Medina, where cars cannot circulate, it is often cheaper to have the car delivered to your riad on the day you leave the city rather than pay for days spent in a car park. Is there a desk in the terminal?

We work by meet-and-greet: our agent meets you at the arrivals exit with the car parked a few metres away. You do not queue at a counter.

My flight lands at 2 am. Can I still get the car?

Yes. Delivery and collection at the airport are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Give us your flight number and we follow it.

Can I return the car in another city?

Yes. Returns in Marrakech and at Marrakech Airport are free. A return in Casablanca, Agadir or Essaouira costs €90.

Do you accept a UK or US driving licence?

Is an automatic car available at the airport?

Yes, the Dacia Duster is automatic. It is our only automatic car, so book it early in high season.
